ご支援Support the Center

Keep the doorsopen.

SEJSCC is a 501(c)(3), so every gift is tax-deductible.

Your generosity supports Japanese language classes, martial arts, ikebana, Japanese dance, and koto — activities that open the rich culture and traditions of Japan to the whole community. The center also runs youth sports, social dancing, hula, ukulele, and senior activities. We are a volunteer-based organization, and 100% of your support goes toward SEJSCC's goals.

What donations pay for

Judo instructors kneeling in a line on the dojo's mats

Modernizing the campus

Classrooms, the center, and the dojo were built for a different century. Updating them keeps every program usable for the next generation.

A father and his son scrubbing a classroom wall on community clean-up day

Maintenance & repairs

Roofing, plumbing, flooring, and the kitchen all need work beyond what a volunteer work day can cover.

The community gathered outside the center's buildings on a clear afternoon

Solar & utilities

Moving the campus to solar cuts the power bills that grow every year, so more of what we raise goes to programs instead of overhead.

A classroom of students at their desks with the flower arrangements they made

Rising costs

Insurance, water, and supplies climb faster than dues do. Giving keeps tuition affordable for families who need it.

この場所を守るA Century of Gathering

This is what your gift protects

Kendo in the gym, mochitsuki in the hall, udon out of the kitchen, kindergarten in the classroom — every one of them happens under a roof this community has to keep up.

Kendo students and instructors in armor, gathered in the center's gym
Volunteers around the mochitsuki mortar after a morning of pounding rice
Volunteers plating pies and dinners in the center's kitchen
The summer festival cooking crew under the food booth canopy
Kindergarten students with their two teachers in the hall
Community members seated together at the centennial celebration
